Alright, so, at the end of July I'll be playing my first 'official' game(s) (Unless I meet a few players at my soon-to-be LGS) and I'm devising the list now so that I can prioritize my painting. This is particularly crucial, because at the same time I'm also going to be painting two squads of IG vets, 2 valks, a chimera, a manticore, and a Russ. Oh, and I can't start any painting until next week...at the earliest, possibly not until the end of the month! What I'll be working from for sure is a battalion box, a box of cold one riders, and I maaaaay purchase a stegadon, depending on the valks. What I'll be facing is a Daemon and a VC warband. What would be the most effective? What is the most cost-effective right away? What is most feasible with such a painting backlog?
IMO I think list A would work the best, especially vs Vampire Counts, although you lack some vital dispelling, but if you can charge and crush his heroes then there isn't much to worry about. I'm a fan of saurus powered armies and I think that list will be a lot of fun.
