Hi Everyone! Here's my first 1500 point list. Up until now, I've been playing 1000 point games and haven't been using any slann. I've done some reading on how people use the slann, but I'm not sure if I've properly equipped him or if there's the right kind of support for him. I just thre on the ironcurse icon because I had some spare points and frequently run into artillery. Please don't hesitate to tell me that this is a terrible army list, I just appreciate the input. Hey, The list is certainly al along the right lines but there are a couple of things I would change: 1) Slann looks fine, at a low points level you can only take so much on the slann and you seem to have good choices 2) I'm not convinced by the biting blade, Scar Vets are already S5 so a further -1 to AS isn't a whole lot more, if you are looking to keep him the same points something like a dragonhelm gives him more defence, if you don't mind shaving points elsewhere something like the burning blade of chotec is a possibility, similar to the biting blade along with magical armour of some sort to improve his survivability. 3) you might want a dispel scroll on the priest, always handy! Is level 2 needed if the slann is going to use all the dice? 4) the rest of the units look good except for the obvious flaw. Temple guards are just not effective at this points level, they are so expensive you can't get a decent unit. You have a unit of only 10, this is far too small a unit. The slann has to go in this unit and it will be a target for all manner of spells and shooting and then it wont even be good in combat as every TG death will be very important. With this points you can get 15 more saurus with full command, split them into a group of 24 and a group of 21, much more useful. This does kinda level your slann a bit out there, but you could put him in a skink unit and hide or swap your items and make him immune to non magical attacks? It is difficult at this level to run a slann and he will be vulnerable compared to a larger game, but the rest of the army should function well at this size

The Scar Vet is now equipped with the Burning Blade of Chotec and a Charmed Shield, the skink priest was dropped to a level 1 but given a dispel scroll and the Slann will now sit in a unit of 20 saurus warriors. I hadn't thought about how quickly the TG would go. But it does make sense to me.
