Slann, 3 disciplines: Becalming Cognition, Focused Rumination, Focus of Mystery, Cupped Hands of the Old Ones, Lore undecided
    Skink Priest, Cube of Darkness
    Skink Priest, Dispel Scroll
    Skink Priest, Scroll of Shielding
    2 x 20 Saurus Warriors, FC
10 Skink Skirmishers with javelins and shields and brave
24 Temple Guard, FC with Venom of the Firefly Frog for champion
    2 x 1 Salamander with Snack
    Scroll of Binding Stegadon
    Scroll of Binding Carnosaur
Scroll of Binding, 8 Cold Ones (The points left over. I thought about taking a great eagle instead but I wanted to preserve the dino theme)

I'm slowly working on assembling and painting a Vampire Counts pact force but until it’s done, I’m sticking with the models I have for my first SOM game, ie dinosaurs to the max.

The first two Skink priests will hold my starting arcane fulcrums. The Slann and Temple Guard will try to dislodge any enemy wizards' fulcrums. The third skink priest escorted by the skirmishers will occupy the first open fulcrum they find since the Slann can’t leave the Temple Guard to claim a fulcrum.

The Saurus are primarily to defend my own fulcrums. The Carnsoaur I plan to point at the largest enemy monster whatever it is. I don't know why my friend will bring but I know he likes BIG monsters. The other dinos are for supporting my Temple Guard on their offensive.

EDIT: I left out a group of 10 Skinks and Kroxigor as a small flanking force

Only 3 T2 2W models to hold Fulcrums is pretty thin. Even with hard cover and 3+ ward, HE shooting can put in a wound or two as can spells, particularly Magic Duel, which is easy to cast and very advantageous for a High Elf attacking a Skink.

On the up side, High Elf mages are fairly expensive and vulnerable too so you still have a chance to kill his mages faster than he kills yours. Still, it wouldn't hurt to take a couple of backup priests to take over the Fulcrums if the first ones die.

Have you considered Lore of Death? No better way to kill off his Mages I think.
