    Hi all,
    I'm new to the forum, new to fantasy and Tomorrow i will have my first match... so fresh blood

    This is my list for Tomorrow

    Lizardmen (1000pts)
    Heroes
    Saurus Scar-Veteran
    Great weapon, Light Armour, Shield
    Cold One, Dragonhelm, Luckstone

    Skink Priest
    Lore of Heavens, Wizard Level 2
    Dispel Scroll

    Core
    24x Saurus Warrior
    Spears, Full command
    10x Skink Skirmisher
    Lustrian Javelins with Shield
    10x Skink Skirmisher
    Lustrian Javelins with Shield

    Special
    Bastiladon (Solar Engine)
    6x Chameleon Skink

    Rare
    Salamander Hunting Pack
    Extra Handler

    Any advice would be appreciated

    1) BSB?
    2) Magic is not so nice (imho) in 1k games, so may be Oldblood + Scarvet will be better.

    I agree that it's a bit much for magic at a 1000 pts but not too unusual. I love 6 dicing the solar engine though; just count on it to be a distraction and not a gimmee. It will undoubtedly be the target forany war machines after your scarvet. Not having a BSB is not as bad as it is for some armies since we're cold blooded. Chameleons are great at small points. If you'd like to save some more points and get some more combat power you could try a ruby ring instead of the solardon. I tend to go character light in small games though enough skink skirmishers can destroy anything with shooting. Best of luck.

    The shield is pointless. You have a +1 without it.
    I'd go beasts over heavens. Wyssans will do so much and the potent spells are just to small a chance with a lvl2.
    You'll find sword and board are much better on the saurus. Even if you got PF from all ranks it is unlikely to be better then the parry save.
    Otherwise that is a killer list mate. Make sure you focus heavy cav (high armour save) with magic and getting your cowboy in against them. You don't have any other means of dealing with it. Everything else should be winnable with the tools in your list. Best of luck
