Am I the only one to notice the Floating Pyramid on the Lustria map..? I can't seem to find any fluff on it though... was it mentioned in the 5th edition or Lustria books ? (I don't have those)
huh, i hadn't noticed that before... there's nothing there in the 5th ed book, but i dont have the lustria book.
Yea for some reason this image kept poping into my head... http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070328192634/stargate/images/f/f3/Pyramid_ship.JPG I wonder if that pyramid is somethng the old ones left behind...?
If anyone can access White Dwarf issue 100 (I think, around that issue anyway) there was a roleplaying scenario set on a floating pyramid in Lustria (cunningly called 'The Floating Garden of Bhab'Elon' I believe) involving said pyramid going out of control and Pygmies. I believe the pyramid on the map may be a nod back to that.
Having now read issue 100 (contents list here: http://www.gamehobby.net/white_dwarf_magazine/white_dwarf_100.html ) i can confirm it was an WFRP scenario written by Basil Barrett. The basic story involves an 'Old Ones' floating Pyramid, which is being controlled by a Sorcerer, that goes out of control when his attempt to summon and control a demon goes belly up. This Pyramid then bumps into a hill and a group of Pygmies (the players) then attempt to board the pyramid and take control of it to stop it crashing onto their village. It used the old board pieces that GW produced of dungeons, caves etc and had a very strict time limit (quick decisions were required as it was used in a RP tournament!) to complete the quest. Great for any WFRP'ers (or any other role playing systems really) and a nice bit of background on how GW used to view Lustria.
Ah kool thanks for that.... I thought it might have been an Old One relic. It sounds like it ws probaly a prety fun scenario too.
