Hi all,
I've been collecting Lizardmen for about 6 months or so now, and I love the little fellows. I was originally planning a very skink heavy army, because they're so tiny and awesome looking, but I'm only at 500 points right now, so we'll see where my tastes take me. I tend to build my army based more on character, models I like plus making an army that looks good overall on the table and hopefully gives my opponent a fun game.
About 13 years ago I bought my first WFB boxed set, but me and my brothers never really painted enough to play it properly. We gave 40K a better go, getting up some armies, but again, half of it was unpainted.
A few years ago, we've offically retired from 40K and fantasy seems to meet what I think are more mature tastes. It's been a huge success for us, and now we have a rule: if it's not painted, it doesn't go on the table! This has led to some great games and even greater painting.
My first army is Tomb Kings, and Lizards are my second. You can check out my Flickr at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/travman_au/ I'm not very good at colour choices, so I tend to stick pretty close the the classic GW schemes.
I love the hobby, probably enjoying the painting more than the playing, as I like the peace it gives my mind while the rest of the world fades out. I'm quite busy at the moment, but I hope that slowly over time, I can help contribute to the Lizard-folk community.
Cheers,
Travman
