So here's what I have so far. Any comments, ideas, corrections that you guys can spot? Needs a bit of development I think, but the basic idea is there.

West of Chupayotl, the Sunken City, on the Geomantic Web lies Oxyl. There it is believed the line of natural power flowing through the ground ends. But if one continues further to the west, across the Spine of Sotek and the blazing Copper Desert, one may be lucky enough to find the Temple-City of Xlantligo, resting sleepily on one of the Turtle Islands.

Watched over by the Mage Priest Huanboqxili, Xlantligo lies beyond the sight of most of the world. It was thought lost when the tide of Chaos flooded the world after the Old Ones vanished, feared destroyed by the gibbering hordes of Daemons. In fact, the City was placed within a shield of incredible power, making the Chaos horde ignorant and blind to the very existence of Xlantligo's island. The spell, its power required drawn from the energies of the Geomantic Web itself, weakened Huanboqxili almost to the point of death. Every piece of his mind, body and soul had been put into casting it and he was only saved, perhaps, by his blessings from Tepok, manifested by his purple skin tone. Upon ensuring the shield of invisibility was cast, the Slann immediately collapsed. Centuries of recuperative slumber dragged into millennia, as his Temple Guard watched silently over him.

It was largely the Skink Priests who administered the day-to-day running of the City, mustering its residents to defend its outskirts when necessary. Largely Xlantligo led a peaceful existence, hidden on the western edge of Lustria, away from greedy and inquisitive eyes. The shield of ignorance held fast even as the spell of the High Elves drained most of the magic from the world, keeping Xlantligo safe. The inhabitants kept themselves amused with games of what is known elsewhere as Blood Bowl, even going to the extent of building a great arena to hold their games within.

All the while the Priests scoured their sacred plaques, searching for the one piece of information that might let them know when their Lord Huanboqxili would rise again. Then, one night, the Mage-Priest's wide eyes flicked open as a new star exploded within the midnight sky. Haunboqxili was back in the waking world, his every utterance immediately taken down by a cohort of Skink scribes and interpreted by the Skink Priests.

The armies of Xlantligo would soon be marching to war...
