    Hey guys,

This Tuesday I want to try something different and was thinking about going with 2 Slanns in my 2400 point game. Tell me what you think.

    Here's the list:

    Lords
Slann w/ Rumination, Plaque of Tepok, Lore of Life
Slann w/ Ethereal, Crown of Command, Lore of Death

    Heroes
Scar Vet w/ Shield, Glittering Armor, Blade of Chotec, Ironcurse Icon
Scar Vet BSB w/ Shield, Armor of Destiny
Skink Chief w/ Piranha Blade, Bane Head, Shield, LA
Skink Priest, lvl 1 w/ Cube of Darkness

    Core
24 Saurus Warrs w/FC (Non-BSB vet in here)
24 Saurus Warrs w/FC (Skink Chief here)
    10 Skink Skirmishers

    Special
16 TG w/ FC, Banner of Eternal Flame, Blood Statuette of Spite (Life Slann and BSB in here)
    6 Chameleon Skinks
    6 Chameleon Skinks

    Rare
1 Salamander Hunting Pack w/ Xtra Handler
1 Salamander Hunting Pack w/ Xtra Handler

All comes out to 2400 points.

My strat would be to start the game using the Death Slann as an opening nuker. Have him be the primary spellcaster until my 3 big units get into the fray, hopefully dropping a Purple Sun, or other curses of killingness while generating power dice from the wounds. Then, mid-late game have him act as a unit tie-up and dispel dice drainer, making my opponent have to debate between losing characters and letting my life slann get those To 8 buffs out.

Everything else would be status quo, Chamos take out straggling chars and warmachines, salamanders flank and spit and skirmishers act as an opening screen for my TG and Saurus. Saurus unit with the chief will go after whatever big creature/general w/ multiple wounds they can find, while the other Saurus unit will act as a flank guard for my TG.

What do you think? I know I'm getting pretty reliant on decent magic phases here but I think it could be interesting.

FINALLY someone else is getting on the double slann bandwagon. ive yet to run a 3k game without 2 slann, just cant see why youd want to. yes you rely on the magic phase but if they both have rumination (no pts for it i understand, but in 3k there would be) thats a ton of extra dice you can work with. combine that with death and youll be casting to your hearts content. lofe the idea of the slann tie up, just be careful about his placement. id def try to keep him within 12" of that bsb in case the worst should happen. my one recommendation is about your chief: if your going to use him to hunt big nasties with saurus, id say change that saurus unit to skrox. youll be quicker and pack a great punch against those high T folks. perfect for running down a flank and causing mischief

I see your point with the Skrox, I just always have terrible luck fielding them due to those squishy skinks. I suppose that's what Life is for.

    I'll try it both ways.
