TOW Fun with themed army lists

    So I've working on some characters and themes for my armies and I thought I'd share. My group has been playing a lot of 1500 lately and I wanted a few lists I could pick between. Plus I'm playing total war. I got some aztec names and played with the characters theme to make some recognisable for me.

    Aeontezin is my sole Old Blood General. (Aeon being the keyword, as in "old"). He eschews the large cities and prefers to trust his judgement than follow directions from the Slann, which in his long life and have realised (though never mentioned out loud) are fallible. He leads a scouting force through the jungles of Lustria looking for invaders. He rides his trusty Carnosaur into battle, and rarely commands large armies.

    Eleuminotl is a Slann with a deep reverence for nature. (He is elementalism in TOW and light in TW and his key word is "ele" like "element" and also "eleum" which is pronounced "illum" i.e.illuminate) He likes a force that moves fast, strikes quickly and can retreat as needed. As close to lizards get at guerrilla tactics.

    Mortezuma has dedicated his study in magic to his interest in life and death. (Necro in TOW and Life in TW, "Mort" being the keyword) He understands the limitations of lesser races and tries to play upon their mortal minds to break them. He favours large monsters as part of his force for both their effectiveness and for their psychological impact. He's a lot more powerful in TW than TOW (where I tried extensively to get him to work).

    Xinfernoc is a younger and more decisive Slann. He is straight forward and has a love of fire. He believes the Old Ones created fire as a means to control chaos and the lesser races. He is puritanical in following his interpretation of the great plan - everything that chaos has touched must burn. This often includes anything that *might* be touched by chaos. He's my current favourite, and he wields battle in TOW and fire in TW. His key word is inferno, though pronounced "zin-fur-nok". Loves the salamanders in TW.

    Venertalli is the oldest and most revered of my Slann. He carefully considers everything before marching to war. He favours block infantry, as it's hard to trust monsters and other savage instruments. He refrains from combat preferring to dominate magic. He is mostly called to defend Lustria, as he rarely leaves his chamber unless he absolutely has to. (He is high magic in TOW and TW and "Vener" is the keyword like Venerable.)
