Warning: None of this is breathtaking or innovative. It's pretty much what was discussed months ago after 8th came out, but I've been playing a bit more lately and haven't kept up with the forum much, so I'm wanting to see if everyone is having the same experiences. Slann: Better than ever. Life is just sick. Tried Death today, but I think Death would have much better synergy with a solo Slann, due to Purple Sun. Skrox: Finally broke down and played with one unit today, 14:1, since the points worked out. I was pleased, though one game is not enough to totally override my gut reaction distrust of them. I think I may go 16:2 (at the most) for a nice, relatively cheap flanker. Saurus with spears: Still love them. You can keep your shields + hw. Engine of the Gods: I want to love this unit. I want to continue the passionate love affair of our youth we once shared. I really do. But every game I am less and less enamored by the Engine. I think a solo priest with cloak is coming out next. Salamanders: Am I right that these bad boys can march and shoot? Am I just imagining this? Because these guys are beasts now! There you go. Not an extensive list, nor new. But, as I said, I'm curious to know everyone's experiences, whether the same or different.
Sounds about right, altho life and light are sort of in a neverending contest for lizardmen attention, life is deffencive by increasing survivability, while light is more offencive by making our already impressive saurus really devastating.
