When I paint I tend to open the jar and leave the lid up so I can dip as needed. With the damn GW paints the lid won't fold back and keeps closing. Do you guys pour some out and paint from that or just re open every time. The P3 paints I've been using when you open the lid it sits nicely and stays open so I can dab.

Some of the best advise I ever got, never paint straight out of the pot, 'cos you're exposing the whole thing to the air, decant (I use a pipette I nicked from my kids chemistry set) into a pallette or little plastic tub. It'll extend the life of your paint, stop you getting dried crap around the top and makes it much easier to mix, thin and generally work with.
