8th Ed. Gamezone proxies for Cold Ones - thoughts?

Hi

any1 else who have drooled over the cold ones (aka Predators) of Gamezone Miniatures?

I think they would look great for a Lizardmen army.. Did anyone try that already? Can the riders fit?

They do look pretty cool, and would work, however they might outshine the riders a bit much with their detail. Scale for GZ tends to be slightly larger than GW so they will be big, but since they currently have elves rather than saurus they should fit.

If you have never bought a GZ model before, I will give you a warning. They are beautiful sculpts, really really nice, but the casting quality is... Well, crap. They are a pain in the arse to assemble, there will be big gaps to fill, and quite possibly a bit of damage. They are definitely 'advanced user' models. But, if you are confident with pinning and gap filling with GS then you can have some very sweet looking models.

 

Agree 100% with Stewart. . I do use those for my cold ones and they are awesome but are quite large.
