Hey guys found this little tactic... Which my dwarf mate described as the tactical nuke of warhammer. Take a slann give him heaven, both focus and anything else required (cupped?) Then take Tetto'eko Skink priests to taste (EOG is hilarious So turn 1 Tetto'eko get his cosmic events (hopefully). this next bit depends on number of power dice but make slann cast powered version of comet, if spare dice have EOG of teeto'oke cast comet parle to first. I did this with dwarfs got one on each end of the gun line. Their magic phase re roll so that both comets DONT arrive.. Your second magic phase reroll until comets DO arrive... They will probably go home by this point
A little old, but I thought I'd just point out: An army cannot have two of the same spell, not counting signature spells. If you took two lore-masters of the same lore, only one will have all the spells, the other would only be able to take the signature spell. I think you owe your dwarf friend an apology.
Per the bottom of page 162, that is incorrect, jonthebaker. Loremaster enables you to have multiples of the same spell in your army.
Well if you have the engine, you might want to use it's ability to make heavens easier to cast as well.
its funnier when you do 2 slann (each loremaster), tetto and lvl 2 priest with EOTG and plaque . o so very funny
That is correct. The rule states "If Tetto'eko successfully casts the spell Comet of Cassandora..." Also, you can have more than one Comet of Cassandora in your army however you can only randomly generate the spell once. For example, if you have 2 Slann with Loremaster and Tetto'eko then you can have the spell 3 times. You would have it 2 times for each Slann because of Loremaster, and 1 time for Tetto'eko (FAQ says he has Loremaster). The reason behind this is in the reference section of the BRB: "Ordinarily, each spell can only be known once in the same army. The only exceptions are where a spell is not generated randomly..." If you were to throw in a Skink Priest into that mix above, since he is trying to randomly generate a spell that is already known by someone in the army, he may not have it. However there might be a loophole here and this has not been FAQ'd yet so check with your opponent to see if they are ok with it. If you generate the spells for the Skink Priest first, then you generate spells for the Slann... well technically it gets around the issue. Personally I would not make an army that tried to take advantage of that but I would allow someone playing against me if they wanted to.
In the case you described you can get 4 comets, one random and three from loremaster overriding the random rule for T'E and the two slanns.
Why not, they have no choice about the spells they know thus they fit one of the descriptions in the exception list.
