    Hi Everyone

    UK based new hatching here.

Finally, after the bester part of 20 years if wargaming, stepped into the fantasy setting.

Was going to get into Sigmar a few years ago but the only faction that took my fancy was Tomb Kings. But they just got dropped.

Never really gelled with any of the other factions. Felt the StormCast were far to "Marine" like, and was never a fan of super elite armies and everybody else...never liked the night haunt.

Anyway mate of mine was selling a load of Seraphon and was will to trade some old school Marine stuff....so long storm short.

Sad indeed that the handsomest undeads bit the dust.

    Welcome to the forums!

We got dinosaurs riding dinosaurs and they are also Aztec. What's not to like?

Let us know if you have any specific questions about gameplay, fluff, painting, or anything else.

Well this is one of the friendly forums I've been on. Went on a Nid one not that long ago and was the total opposite

    Aztec Lizardmen. Just sounds cool.

Well never played Sigmar or Fantasy for that matter so will be asking some questions.

First question. What the next purchase should I get....Slann or Batildon?

    Both!
But the Slann is pretty much a must for all advanced lists, so I would say get one as soon as you can.

    Hello!

Probably the slann I hear they're all important and stuff :p But if you want a fun fiddly hobby time go with a significantly less competitive snake bastiladon ;)

Is that the Tyranid Hive? If so, I found that they were generally OK there, but all the old guard super-posters generally stuck to their own little 'circle of elders' and acted a bit aloof and distant towards everyone else - not really helping them out much or encouraging them to do stuff. Certainly they look down upon people who don't like the new 8th Edition (like me - by far the worst edition yet in my view), so I don't really post much there anymore. One of the greatest things about this forum, on the other hand, is that all the old guard who've remained are really helpful and supportive, especially to those who are new, and are willing to help and encourage people who play either Warhammer Fantasy, AoS or Kings of War - everyone wins.

As for your question, if you want to have the most fun out of making your next model, I'd say get a Bastiladon, as the Slann is horrendously monopose while the Bastiladon is a great kit (I'd certainly say the more competitive option in both Fantasy and AoS is the Solar Engine - I have a Solar Bastiladon and he once killed 4 Ogres with one shot in a game of Fantasy!). On the other hand, if you want to get your army working well first and add the awesome models later, I'd say get a Slann first. When I first started collecting Tyranids I decided to get a Hive Tyrant before I added Carnifexes and that really helped me in my first few games - with Seraphon it's the same with the Slann. In Fantasy it is possible to make good army builds without Slann, but in AoS it unfortunately isn't unless you're playing 1000 points or lower.
