Recently I noticed this image on google. I am curious about is that mounted oldblood
with GW a discontinued model or an unreleased model.

After looking through uk version white dwarf in 2005, I can only find the hand weapon
with shieldone showing in the new release section. I then use internat archive to check
the UK and US GW websilte.

On the snap shot of 2005 May 13th from UK GW it shows the saurus hero on cold one
blister soon to be released contains a random figure which hints one of the random model
    is the GW one.

But on the snap shot of 2005 September 14th from UK GWit states clearly the blister
contains Saurus Hero with hand weapon and shield. So there is no GW option.

On the snap shot US GW the miniatures range page of lizardmen shows the saurus
hero on cold one blister contains random model. This page shows two model image
till 2007. One of it should be the GW option model.

I could be wrong, but I remember both of those models pictured being sold on the GW website at one time. They were right next to each other under the heros section. This was back when the skink chief models were offered in packs of 2 (so around the Lustria champaign time).

My memory could be off, but I thought they were sold (but not many may have been bought).

Damn, that's a fine model, especially the one to the right holding the two-handed weapon baseball bat style. Oh well, I may have to sculpt my own version of that if the new book allows for such a weapon combo for CoC heros.
