    Today I had a game. My oldblood magically rolled 4 1s and a single 3. I have the augment on him and he reroll the 1s. I get another 2 1s a 6 and a 3.

We discussed this, but can I use the 6 and possibly gain another attacks from PF? (like I normally would).

My friend argued that I could not, similar to how you cannot get poison if I have to roll 7+. Ultimately it did nothing for the game whether or not I would've gained that attack, but I'd like to know this for another time.

Personally I would say that I should be able to get the extra attack and thus also be able to reroll the extra attack should I get another roll of 1. I don't think it's the same as with poison since I'm not actually rerolling there, but instead just rolling a high enough number for it to hit.

    Bonus question:

Say an empire unit with a Warrior Priest get the buff after having charged. Can they first reroll all failed to hit attacks and then reroll the 1s? I'd say yes since we're talking a special rule with the general reroll rule and a spell which only works on 1s (which is also in the to wound and armour save phase). OR do the Empire player have to choose which reroll he want to get (similar to how you cannot have say a Regen with 6+ and a Ward save with 5+).

Re: Harmonic convergence (Lore of Heaven) and predatory Figh

The first situation has actually happened to me before in a Regiments of Renown game, where a saurus had hatred on him and I would re-roll and get a 6. In the rule predatory fighter it says on a roll to hit of six you get the extra attack. A re-roll to hit is still a hit, so if you re-roll a 1 and get a 6 to hit then you get your extra attack.

With the empire situation, you can only reroll a die once, so I'd say go for the re-roll all dice, and you still get the re-roll ones on everything else. That's what I've always done.

    question one -

you get the extra attack immediately for roling a natural 6 - done. There's nothing to argue about, have your friend read the rule. You're not getting a reroll, but an immediate extra attack.

    Question two -

You can never reroll a reroll - Done. The source is not important, it's a never.

    its exactly like vampteddy stated

you should have received the extra attack.

and you could not have rerolled a reroll

I told him this, but as I said it wouldn't have mattered at that point in the game. I argued that with PF I generate a completely new attack, despite being generated by a reroll.

About the other thing - they're just two different kinds of rerolls. It's not as if they're completely identical. o_O

    Read page 7 - Re-roll.

It states that the source is unimportant, no re-rolling a re-roll.

You get the extra attack. It works like Poison in close combat, but instead of auto wounds, you get additional attacks.
Note: An additional attack is NOT a re-roll.
As long as the roll that hits is a 6, you get the additional attack regardless of whether or not that roll was from a re-roll.
    Poison works the same.

I know how the actual special rule work out. This though was in conjunction with rerolls (harmonic convergence).

The whole poison example was for something else if that's what you're thinking about. :)

Poisonous attack rule states that if a ranged attack needs a 7+ or worse to hit, the poison won't work. Predatory Fighter says nothing about that.

If it happens that you need a 7+ to hit on close combat, PF will still generate additional attacks and Poisoned Attack will still auto wound on a natural roll of 6.
