just been on GW site and new stormcast Judicators are out on the 1st of August, they look really good maybe good enough to start a new army.

    What do you guys think?

Look at the monstrosity of a weapon in the bottom panels. How is that not 40k?

Still nowhere near as bad as the Sigmarine arm cannon. At least the two skaven look like they are working hard together to carry that thing. The arm cannon is simply horrible... on the level of the soul grinder and skullcannon being included in fantasy.

Really? These are the first miniatures I've seen with the new aesthetic (not counting terrain) that I've actually liked. But they are straight up marines. They even have the rapid fire rule and you can only take one of the big bolthrowers for every 5 regular guys lol.

The Judiators with the bows and crossbows look okay in my opinion, but I feel as though they belong in 40k. They are space marines plain and simple. The cannon arm however is just outright awful.

The ones with the bows don't seem to look right, heavy armoured looking brutes with graceful bows. Yeah.
I never realised it was an arm cannon of sorts. From one angle it looks like one big 40k like weapon, but of course. They are Sigmarines after all.

    Yes. Yes. No and No.

I agree with space + marines but I would have gone with ornate and baroque (instead of plain and simple).

Heh I like it either way. Order's got something just as ridiculous as the Hellcannon now. :D

Very true... the idea of full plate armoured archers is kind of weird.

I couldn't disagree more. The hellcannon is an awesome model and very fitting in the fantasy setting. The arm cannon is simply horrible; that thing would look terrible in 40k, let alone fantasy (or even AoS' bastardized version of fantasy).

Par for the course. You and I definitely look for different (polar opposite) things in a wargame.

I like the arm cannon. Better than the stormvermin's array of future weapons.

I need to get more in the mindset of playing by faction and not by race. Could include these in my Lizzie's or elfs without buying an army of them.

    WHFB Devastators, lol.

Also Judicators already exist with Privateer Press models.

So if GW's Judicators are Space Marines, is Privateer Press' Judicator supposed to be a dreadnaught?

Looks like a 40k knight to me.

The more I look at the arm cannon the more it looks like a dark elf bolt thrower
