i havent played lizards yet so i dont know how this will do in a fight. Is not my list entierly its a friends list that i changed abit and went (as you can see) skink happy. So give me your thuoghts on if im gona be able to giva a good fight or not, Or if you have any better solutions on to imporive the list. Was planning on playing some tourneys later on. Skink happy lists are certainly amusing and you'll have a ton of movement. In trying to keep with your Skink heavy plan, I'd make one recommendation. Bump that Saurus Warrior unit up to 20 with a standard. The reason is this: You have very very little that is going to actually survive a fight. You can almost count on every single unit of skinks that you have there either being wiped out or running in 1-2 rounds. You do have the Temple Guard/Slann, which makes your anvil unit, but you're going to need a backup. Or at least something that can meet a charge and not be obliterated. The second Saurus Warrior unit will do that for you. So, I'd take the Chameleon Skinks out and 1 unit of the Skink Skirmishers. That will give you 130pts to work with. 10 Saurus Warriors with Spear and Standard = 132 pts. I'd shave off the Musician from this unit and that gives you a total of 2246 pts in your army (assuming the other math is correct, I didnt double check the list). You could even shave it down to only 15 Saurus Warrior with Standard giving you a total unit cost of 15*12+12=192 pts. This means that as you lose Saurus Warriors, you'll still be getting 4 attacks for your front rank(effectively) and gives you +1 Combat Resolution until you lose a Warrior. This would only cost you a unit of Skink Skirmishers. Basically, anything to increase survivability. In a 2250 pt game, I'd expect to face some heavy hits (which your army most likely isn't going to survive right now). You have a couple character hunters with your Scar Vets. That could be handy if one of them gets sniped or shut down by a spell. Is that Slann also intended as a character hunter with the Banehead? Another thing to consider - Your only hammer is a single stegadon. What do you do if the stegadon gets tied up by something or, god forbid, killed? What are you going to use to kill things then? I'm failing to see much in the way of 'killers'. Maybe explain your plan of attack?
First of all i wanna say thx for giving your thuoghts on the list. When i took that many skinks i had an idea of be one of those irritating oponents of giving him only one option of going for my skinks at start and give my other units a chane to get in a good position for attacking , As for the skirmishers i want them to be a harass unit kinda like a hit and run style. The camelions where a last minute choice so ill have no problem of replacing them. Yes the slann is a character hunter aswell. As i typed i dont know lizardmen very well and the most lizard players dont seem to play skinks alot and i like to have a setup that not many players really know how to play against. I will take your suggestion and replace a few skinks for some saurus. If you have any more ideas please share them im glad i can get help in anyway possible.
