Greetings one and all. For a quick introduction, I'm a relatively new player to Warhammer Fantasy, and after a great deal of thought, have opted to serve the Old Ones. It was a more difficult decision then I anticipated, as I am something of a fluff junkie, and am well read of the Black Library's wealth of books. The end result was a fascination with many different factions within the world. After deciding to limit myself to current (8th edition) books, I ultimately decided upon Lizardmen for a couple of reasons. One, I knew that I would rather play an army of order then one of destruction. Two, of the order armies, the Lizardmen definitely appealed the most. They are the eldest of the races, the only one to have had direct contact with the creator-gods themselves, and are, quite simply, alien; no other faction is similar to them, culturally or otherwise. Third, and perhaps most important of all, my investigations revealed that Saurus had an initiative of 1. As strange as it is, this is the fact that sold me on the army. That, and my tegu wouldn't stop staring at me, and I was wondering if she intended to devour my soul if I chose a filthy, warm blood option.
Welcome to the forum. I commend you on your excellent choice. If you are a fluff junky we got a good fluff forum. I myself have written over a hundred pages of stories. After the Death of Sigmar, Merestar the Slann tries to take a more active hand in guiding humanity The Fall of Turochitan (~5 pages) A pair of outcast vampires journey to Lustria with the goal of drinking a Slann's blood Count Renliss' Journey to Lustria (~22 pages) Klodorex is in disarray after the Slann disappear forcing an unlikely hero to unit the city The Orphaned Temple City (~45 pages) A party of Skinks is sent on a mysterious quest. Divided We Fall (~60 pages) Dwarves and Lizardmen unit against Skaven and Daemons New Alliances (~60 pages) I generally focus on character development and the struggle against Chaos. Axolotyl really plays up the alien side of Lizardmen using his large menagerie of pets for inspiration. Spawning of Bob makes a lot of cartoons (too many to link) and comedy stories but he's gradually shifting gears to comedy-dramas
