Hi there.
I usually just lurk forever on forums, but this one has a dedicated welcome section so I will introduce myself.
Hi I'm Viskous, and I'm a plastaholic. I'm from Northern California and I've seen at least 4 decades.
I started with Warhammer 40k in the spring of 2017, I started with Adeptus Mechanicus, then around Christmas 2017 I started on some Nurgle deamons introducing me to some Sigmar, and as of Christmas 2018 my wife got me the Starclaw Strikehost. Then I won an eBay auction of a bunch of kits still marketed as Lizardmen.
I've been into the whole Warhammer lore stuff for years, late 90s with novels and video games.
I had already been a painter of miniatures for tabletop roleplaying games, but the last 2 years I have improved a ton. I regularly enter in our local GW shops painting competitions and am usually in the top 3.
I prefer to paint and customize more than build and play. The guides here on converting the start collecting box are fantastic and I've made the Scar-vet on cold one, but had to take it a step further, making a cape out of green stuff and making more cuts to make the head gear look more like the resin model.
Thanks for running a great forum and for all the people here being awesome!
