Hi all, I have been around reading forum for some time but did not decide to write until now. I am from Spain, currently living in Germany. I had Warhammer Fantasy in 6th edition (I was something like 13,14 yo), and I used to play with a friend of mine using a few miniatures and paper and probably very bad, since we learnt the rules ourselves and never saw a game. I used to play orcs back then because I could only grab the starting box for 6th edition (orcs and empire, which we split), but what I always wanted to play was lizardmen. We eventually got bored (I come from a small town and had no one else to play with) and left the hobby behind, but since a few years back I am looking at miniatures/stores and battle reports in youtube wanting to come back, but always thinking I do not have the time + I do not know people in the hobby.

Then a few months ago my flatmate got a 3d printer and I immediately though about using it to get some miniatures and paint them. And so I did, so far I have printed a few miniatures of different armies and painted them, and I enjoy painting much more than when I was young, but now I have decided to start a complete Lizardmen army. I still have very little time (even less than before) and I still know no one around me who likes the hobby so it will probably be a slow process

Welcome to Jurassic Park!

We'd love to see your painting and I would love to hear that you're getting back into Warhammer Fantasy! May I recommend the 8th Edition? Let me know if you need help with anything starting up.

@Lizards of Renown I am actually interested in playing the Nuth Manuscript. I am not sure if that's indeed only in Spanish, it is a fan-made rules set based on 6th, 7th and 8th editions, quite popular in the Spanish community. Something like 9th age but, for what I understood, it gives less importance to balance/tournaments and more to lore/fun. Anyway, I'll probably play whatever the people I find play, but it is still a long way until I have a full army to play with...
