Hello, everyone. I need some help. :)

I need a list of 1500 points to face the Gloomspites.

It has almost no big boy. Almost everything are troops that shoot mortals without stopping.

I guess I need artillery, right? What more could I need?

Thanks.

Hmmm Gits aren't exactly known for their good saves. So I guess everything with rend should chew through those hordes rather quickly, and you need a certain volume of attacks as well as wounds on the table.

My first impulse would be bringing a Shadowstrike.
Lots of Skinks (bad shooting but might be good enough for Grots, many cheap wounds) and Rippers will get the big blobs of Grots decimated.

If they bring big units then some spells (like our new anti horde spell or a Purple Sun) can do good damage as well.

Bastiladons could be worth it as they shoot with rend and will take some mortal wounds.

Teleporting Stegadons with Sunfire Throwers might also do horrible damage against hordes of Grots.

Razordons are also fairly good horde killers if you don't roll really badly.

Here is a list:

Allegiance: Seraphon

Leaders
Slann Starmaster (260)
- General
- Trait: Great Rememberer
- Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices
- Spell: Stellar Tempest
Skink Starpriest (80) (choose some artefact and a spell)

Battleline
40 x Skinks (280)
- Boltspitters & Star Bucklers
10 x Skinks (70)
- Boltspitters & Star Bucklers
10 x Skinks (70)
- Boltspitters & Star Bucklers

Units
6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280)
3 x Razordons (120)

Battalions
Shadowstrike Starhost (180)

Endless Spells / Terrain
Chronomantic Cogs (80)
Purple Sun of Shyish (50)

Total: 1490 / 1500
Extra Command Points: 1
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 98

Tactics:
Turn one will decide.
If you are out of range of their shooting you should probably go second and hope for the double turn.
Otherwise hope that four drops is low enough to go first.

-Advance the Skinks
-Cast Cogs near the Slann using the Starpriest
- Slann uses Cogs
- Slann teleports in, casts the Purple Sun at a big blob, and the Tempest, too.
-Slann teleports back again and uses the rest of the spell slots for summoning.
- go for another big blob using the Rippers

If there is a second turn you should get some summoned Skinks into melee with the good shooting stuff your opponent has. Teleport the Razordons in to do some shooting.
