I'm going to play a 1k wood elves game for a 1k league at a local store (I'm currently top woop woop! Might win some GW stash if I keep it up!). I have many thoughts about general tactics, but I'll write them up to discuss with you tomorrow as it is late and I'm tired. My list is: -Heroes: Saurus Scar Veteran: Light Armour, Cold One, Burning Blade of Chotec, Shield of the Mirrored Pool (160) -Core: 10 Saurus Warriors: Spears, Musician, Standard (138) 10 Saurus Warriors: Spears, Musician, Standard (138) 10 Skink skirmishers (70) -Special: 5 Saurus Cold One Cavalry: Standard, Musician, War Banner (230) 3 Terradons (90) 3 Terradons (90) -Rare: Salamander Hunting Pack: Extra Handler (80) (996) So far I played three games with two massacres (WoC and HE - I beat WoC for 1600-0 VPs, he didn't get a single point off me! I could only have gotten 100VPs more if I'd captured a banner I didn't get ) and one marginal victory (LM - would have massacred from deployment but I made three stupid errors and he fully exploited, he played very well - the best game of the three by far). Anyway lame boasting is way off the mark but the woodelf player is supposed to be properly good so, all things working out, I'm properly looking forward to playing him and will let you know how my ideas pan out. Oh, one easy answer: WE have nothing that can reliably deal with stegadons.
