Hey, I'm building a Carno-Lord army for the upcoming tournament season in my area and I need some input on what I have so far. The idea of the list is to hit hard on two different parts of the table, dividing the opponents forces, while all the skirmishing units pick at whatever is not in combat, war machines/lone mages etc. The biggest help is with the characters, getting them rounded out for different situations.. Carno Lord, Armour of Destiny, Greatweapon He is there to charge in for a total of 9 strength 7 attacks. I was thinking of maybe changing him for less strength but more attacks via maiming shield and sword of strife and a little less protection Scar vet who is BsB Light Armour, shield, Banner of swiftness Trying to get a unit of saurus across the board a little quicker. Scar Vet Armour of Fortune, Gold Sigil Sword, Shield Extra hitting power for a unit of Saurus so they can deal a little better with the 'toughies'. Can go with BsB unit or the other unit Skink Priest Diadem of Power, Cloak of Feathers Run like mad and hopefully dispell 1-2 spells per turn 30x Saurus Warriors w/full command 30x Saurus Warriors w/full command 10x Skink Skirmishers 10x Skink Skirmishers 6x Chameleon Skinks 6x Chameleon Skinks Ancient Stegadon He is there to charge with the Carno Lord or to provide terror on a different flank if fighting a horde/low ld army 2x Sallies with extra handlers Mostly just run down flank and do what sallies do best! As for troops, i might drop a unit of skirmishers but I think i am pretty set on what i want and what their jobs are. The two units of Saurus will be my 'two fronts' and will form the centers of my two battle-lines, one will go along with the salamanders and a unit of skinks + a unit of chameleons, while the other will tag along with the Carno Lord and Stegadon (depending on the situation). I was trying to do a tournament without the normal Slann general and I figured the best approach would be a quick army that will pick its targets a little and smack hard. Any help is appreciated!
I was thinking about this for a long time: Will stegadon ( or ancient stegadon ) be able to use "look out sir" rule to protect carno on 4+? Isn't this the same troop type? If not ---> maybe skink hero riding ancient stegadon? This will help me a lot! I am playing mostly vs dwarves ( lol ) now, so my carno likes to die in the first turn. Sorry Elmquasmash for a bit offtopic
