lovely looking models I really love the way you have used lots of different colours for the skinks. Would you happen to have a picture of them all together in a unit?
yep, bcos the poison frogs they eat everyday change their skin color and i don't wanna look like all common lizardmen players who painted the army blue or with coherent color. i will put them later on, i gotta go now thx btw -m-
Excellent use of color variation. I particularly like the skink with the beige / brown wash and the light blue scales. Looks fantastic. Thumbs up
i'm with ericb on this one. the beige with the ice blue scales is definitely my favorite. absolutely gorgeous work. keep more pics coming
Awesome looking stuff! Keep it coming! And I like the basing on the Stegadon I dont know why but it just looks cool to me
What colours did you use for the beige and blue skink? And what about the Carnosaur? Thinking of using those paint schemes if you dont mind. Just got into warhammer fantasy again, looking at my 4000pts of lizardmen and I've decided to repaint my whole army.
beige skink - bleached bone and then wash thoroughly with gryphonne sephia and devlan mud in the recesses. for the scale, i painted with ice blue and highlight with mix ice blue-skull white. blue skink - many variations. 1. shadow grey and then wash thouroughly with watered down badab black. scale: highlight with rotting flesh. 2. ice blue and wash with devlan mud to make it look marshy and swampy. scale: red gore and highlight with blood red. carnosaur - bestial brown, wash with gryphonne sephia. devlan mud in the recesses. badab black in the deeper parts. scales: codex grey, wash with badab black, highlight with space wolves grey and skull white as final highlight. the armor parts i used shining gold, wash with devlan mud and highlight with burnished gold. please use it as u like it -m-
i base it using the so called 'coarse texture gel' by Reeves. after it hardened (circa 15-30 mins) you can paint it the way u wanna have it or mix the gel with the paint and stir it before applying, that way you will have colored terrain. but i did mine the first way. talking about lokhir in front of the gel. lol -m-
