I am still quite new to lizardmen and have just re-read the book, I have noticed that their are a few characters that there is no models for them, how do people get around this? Do they just nominate a old blood to play as gor-rok for example? Or do people try conversions. Personally I would find this very difficult. Thanks in advance Ian
Both. Converting plastic figures is a lot easier than people think before they try it, especially if you keep all your spare "bits". With Lizardmen it is very easy to glue weapons together o make very impressive weapons and with a bit of care bigger composite shields can also be assembled. Although it doesn't link to the special characters it is also easy to distinguish a saurus character by using a cut down standard as a back banner.
The good news is though, none of our characters are worth taking, so you don't have to worry about it too much. For modelling wargear, Fantasy isn't generally as anal about WYSIWYG as in 40k (it can't afford to be, 90% of gear is impossible to represent), so generally speaking just make your model look cool and make the weapons look close to his loadout (ie, if you give a dude a halberd, give him a halberd. If you give him a magic sword, model up a sword or club).
