Hello, I am from Pennsylvania and am very new to the warhammer world. Although I technically purchased the sixth edition(?) starter (whichever one was orcs and empire), but I never really got around to playing a game with them or painting them. I think I did manage to assemble them though. Well, two weeks ago I decided to try and give it another go, this time with my little brother, when I bought the lizardmen book and battalion for me and the high elves book and battalion for him, along with some supplies to assemble. The only problem is that I am at college and am anxiously awaiting my return so that I can get to work. In the meantime I have been checking out the site, for ideas and tips painting and tactics and I have already found some very helpful stuff.

Greetings, welcome to the forum! Enjoy your stay here.

You should find that LM and HE are reasonably well matched, both of them are at either end of the power curve and about on the same tier. One thing to note though is that HE are a tough army to play and really need optimization and decent tactics, so you might find that you win the first few battles despite his ASF.
