hi im nightmareius and im new both to this site and to lizardmen, i will be collectin them soon and was wantin to know 3 things from you good folks. 1. colour schemes, im not sure but green sounds good, and so does purple. 2. what should i buy for my army of awsomeness. 3. why should i collect these wonderful creatures of old.

Welcome and HI You have definatly come to the right place for your answers you will get a lot of ideas on colours just going through the painting sections. I have not been on this forum long but I have learnt heaps.

thanks man, theres just so much i was wonderin if you could suggest some that may be helpful, though i doubt there are many non helpful ones.
 
The newest section for painting are the paint logs these might be a good place to start in these you can see the armies and paint schemes develop and since its new there are not a great many of them. but one good thing you get out of them is you see how an army come into being with a main theme running through it. It kind of ties all the units together the best I have seen are the armies that are based around "fluff" details picked up from the stories in the army books or other sources.
Asking questions is your biggest asset these people are really friendly and go out of there way to help you and there is no such thing as a stupid question so never be embarrsed to ask.
If you are new to the game or painting start small there are a lot of schemes that can be done quickly and easily with a few colors and washes that give really good effects.Skill comes with practice and a great way to learn is start your own painting Blog try something post it and see what people think you get a lot help and motivation that way.
The forum is really large so to start with read the current posts and these will lead you into the places of interest you may want. Under each post is the section it comes from if the topic intrests you click on this and there may be mor post on what you want.
Any way I prfer the green lizard option and who doesnt like dinosaurs the most important thing is to have fun.

yer lizardmen are cool. i've been looking around and have found some great stuff from purple lizardmen to all skink armys. how to pin to whats best for my army
