hi all, fantastic to find a site dedicated to the lizardmen. i collected warhammer around 8 years ago and have since not really had time or money to collect since, plus the arrival of my 2 kids, lol. but now im back in the hobby and oh how it has changed by what iv read on the net.
always liked lizadmen back then but think they have now the best looking models in the warhammer range. i bought yesterday a box set of temple guard which i have just finished putting together and think they look fab, undercoat tomorro hopfully, but this is where i hit my first snag, i want them to look real bright and effectice so should i undercoat in black or white, and then colour scheem, lol. what a nightmare.

hoping you will all be able to add your views and what has worked for you including paint names as theyve all changed too. sorry to drag on but am excited at the prospect of building an army again.
    thanks.

ps.am ordering battalion box set in next few days.

I personally undercoat everything with black these days. If you use white, you need to be really careful to cover over it in the deep and hard to reach places because bright white in shadows and crevices looks silly. I also find it easier to start dark and highlight up rather than start light and get darker.

For the colour scheme, wait until your batallion arrives stick together some skinks and experiment with several different schemes on them. ;) That is the best way to choose because until you see your idea on a model you do not know if you will like it or not.
