Hi, everybody. Tonight I bought the book, Tetto'eko, Ripperdactyls and the Bastiladon. I'm going Skink!! If anyone has any advice for an all-skink army, I'd be super-grateful. How many skinks in formation? In skirmish? Kroxigors? Thanks in advance! Mark
Ok but don't expect this to be too competitive. 1. Skink and Kroxigors You generally want them in a 6 wide formation. Remember Kroxigors can count for two ranks, allowing you a decent chance at steadfast. Also remember they are movement 6, use this to your advantage as much as possible. This is really their only advantage. 2. Tetto'eko If you are running a pure skink list (no slann), then that means he is your only caster. Fortunately he's pretty good with the Lore of Heavens. First and foremost, the most powerful spell in the Lore of Heavens is NOT Chain Lightning or the Comet of Cassandora), Its actually Wind Blast. Being able to push back an enemy unit by a maximum of D6+2" can win battles. Especially for you where your troops are week and Tetto'ekko already gives you a maneuver advantage with Vanguard, this will help you hold up and delay a portion of the enemy army. Do not underestimate this spell. Otherwise, once you roll that D3 for vanguard you need to prioritize what unit is going to get to move up. If you are facing an artillery heavy army, you want your Steggadons to move up asap and this is the thing to do it. 3. Steggadons With the abscence of your normal lizardmen forces, your army is going to have to be built on Steggadons. Basically you need to design it to move your Stegs as far up and as fast as possible, while you have your Camelleon Skinks and Terradons take out enemy artillery. Only the Steggadons are going to have the power to take down enemy Monstrous Cavalry and Enemy Monsters in general. Therefore you are going to need more then one. Heck I'd say take 2 regular Stegaddons and 1 Ancient, that would at least give them a decent chance. Anyways hope this is at least some useful advice.
