How do you balance the various flying models on their thing pole in such a way that they actually stay vaguely straight? I don't think I've managed to get a single one of my models to actually sit straight on its pole. Also, whenver a model is elevated like this it seems like the glue somehow takes longer to dry, it Always takes longer before I can no longer move the pieces when they're connected like this for some reason.

Anyone have any advice?

For rippers I put them upside down and glued them in, but didn't get much for straight, I got slightly off tilt dynamic. You could drill into them a bit so that more if the clear peg is inside, giving you a bit more control.

mm, luckily the flyers can be a bit tilted without looking ridiculous. They just look like they're diving or swirving which adds a bit of dynamic whereas people on foot tend to look like their about to fall facefirst into the floor. But it still is annoying that I cant get any of them to be even vaguely as I intended them to sit on it :S

I didn't glue so I can transport them in my case but I just press hard down onto the pole for one second when getting them out of the case

Yeah that's true. My Slann is tilted and I don't like it....

What material are we talking here plastic to plastic, metal to plastic?

I will go through each method,

Metal & plastic, 2 pack epoxy glue (Alrdite rapid) leave it until it is almost set push in and hold should stay straight.

Resin and plastic , Good quality super glue apply a spot in the hole and a spot on ths stand leave apart for around 30 seconds then pish in and hold should grap straight away and hold.

Plastic & plastic as above but use a goid quality plastic glue (Revell not GW)

just plastic & the GW glue as those are easiest to get here (not nearby hobbyshop so I usually just buy everything online in one go)

What's mostly confusing me is that this sets so much slower than when I'm gluing other stuff. I just build a tzaangor shaman. For the tzaangor after 10-20 seconds I won't accidently move the arms and such, I actually have to purposely pull it. But mounting the disc took an hour or two before it would actually settle.

This might be helpful for smaller units.
