    Hi guys!

I'm currently building the seraphon battleforce to take a break from converting my drakespawns to cold ones.

I'm not to sure how to build the whole thing tho.
Should I go 3 terradon 3 rippers or not care and go full on terradon? or should I magnetize to switch when I want? (if thats even possible)

For the bastilladon it looks like ark of sotek is a nono? so I shouldnt even bother with magnets. I'm not too fussed about it tbh cause those sotek bits will look great on bases.

For the skinks tho I'm not too sure. It seemed to be bolt + shields before new book but now I see a lot of variety. Should I just go for one configuration and then buy more skinks to do different ones as I grow my army?

I'm going troglodon for the last one as I already have a carno. Whats the weapon I should give my old blood on foot tho?

Sorry for the huge message and thanks for the help :)

It is always best to magnetize something, because you never know when things change. But I hardly imagine, how you can magnetize our Flyers, unless you not attaching riders like in the instruction. Terradons are probably better then rippers now. Pick another box to make Chief or get old Tiktaq'To model and you are good to go. Bolas are better option and look cooler too.

Yes, they somehow managed to nerf already bad option. They should've make them too separate scrolls and make Ark of sotek lik, I dunno, 40 points cheaper, so you can get it if you want bastiladon only for survivability. Solar Engine is a way to go.

It depends on what you want them to do. 10x man to fill battleline/sit on objectives - Javelins and Shields or Boltspitters and Shields. 20 and 30-man are not worth running. 40 man - either shields+boltspitters or clubs+boltspitters. Former are more survivable but worse in close combat, the latter are vice versa. I think, that boltspitters +shields are better for beginners. If you are running clubs+spitters, you should know what you are doing. Clubs+Shields is fun option, if you run Skink Chief on stegadon with them. But they are stricktly worse then others in terms of efficiency.

I wouldn't advise building Troglodon until you have two Carnosaurs, especially if you don't have Oldblood on Carnosaur. But if you insist - go for Greatblade.

    Thanks for the advice!

Yeah I dont even know if its possible, never built them before. Was just wondering. I agree that the Bolas look cooler ^_^

I understand but I think I'm still gonna go for the troglodon on that one. I spend quite a lot of time on my minis as I'm more interested in painting then playing and working on different models is important to keep me motivated. I will probly get another SCBox at some point tho and will build another carnosaur with that one

I made my trog and a carnasaur back before the book hit and I still have no regrets - it’s a really cool model (and will hopefully get a pt drop in GH2020 to make him more palatable)

Follow up question, what weapon should I give my old blood on foot? should I magnetize that one?

Greatblade looks like the best option so far.

not too difficult to magnetize, if that’s your bag. I did it for my guy, and magnetized the shield (kitbashed a bigger shield to run him as a sunblood when needed)
