Never playd O&G and doesn't know the greenskins at all, but I will assume they don't have the highest armor save.
My best trick to counter hevyhitters with low armor is skinks with blowpipes. Just that simple.

I have experience against almost every type of cheese list. I'll give it a shot.

Anomosity will always screw around with Orcs so you will get a little time to do a few things.

    1. Flank March Skinks. Has to reveal him/ And not the way he wants them to.

    2. Suicide Squads. Straight Forward suicide skinks.

    3. Salamander these guys will be able to kill alot. Excpecially a squad. Wittleling down Gobbos is no problem.

    4. Shooting. Just shoot.

    And thats pretty much it.

always get away from fanatics, or you can charge THEM whit a "destined to die" unit.

Flush them out with skinks, panic and terradons. Then just sit in your deployment zone while the O&G get ripped apart by the fanatics.

They are weak little goblins that do major damage if they touch you. They are toughness 3 with no armor so get the poisoned projectiles airborn. They die easily enough the trick is to pop them (come within 8 inches) ASAFP. Chamelions and scouts are the best for this task. It's even best to pop them while you are in cover so he cant throw a sacrificial fanatic at your scouts. The sooner you pop them the more of a problem they are for the gobbo player. Few things better than having them spin back through their own lines.

friend of mine is a huge fan of fanatics, we worked out the math and the fanatics do far more damage to his army than they will ever do to yours downside is being orcs means he can afford those losses i personally use scouted flying skink and run him down the entire line of his troops then wait for the fanatics to kill his own units is great fun

Wanna know how to deal with fanatics? Do what the coolest guy in the sky, Chelsey Sullenberger, would do and...

    "Brace for impact."

Or get Chakax who requires any unit within 20" to tell him about any Assassins, Fanatics, etc. in the unit, that way your chameleons or Terradons can lure em out.

Generally, luring them ot as soon as possible is the best method because then they can effect their own units, or have a higher chance to. So get in close with fast, cheap expendable things and try to get the fanatics to launch sideways or backwards if possible. Also remember that they get smashed when they enter terrain, so a good trick is to get your bait unit between the gobbos and any nearby terrain, trying to get them to overshoot into it.

If memory serves, all you really need to do is hit them with shooting and they die, so take a few small and cheap units of shooters so you don't waste too many shots on them. I'm not sure our best range since I'm just starting though, might have to get close and risk some skinks.

I normally use suicide units to grab out those fanatics, then watch them screw up there own units.

Alternatley you can use the terrain to your advantage. Terradons and Skinks both have good movement, so you should be able to sneak around to the right places to lure them out. Try comng through a woods or river :)

yeah goblin units whit full fantaics are just a carriage for the fantatics.
leave your main army 8' back and rush the gobbos upfront. wherever they pop out, it wont be a big deal for him.

a scouted flying chief could raise hell. first turn fly around all his units with fanatics and land him behind them, or just sacrafice him, then let the O&G player deal with 12 fanatics on his side of the table, just move your stuff up cautiously.

One way i used to get rid of Goblin Fanatics is to take 10 skermish skinks .Come up from the side and force out the Fanatics and try to get them to run into hill, forests etc.If they hit anything like that they are dead Fanatics. You could us flyer to force them out to.If they do not hit traian you can go around them.

In eithier 4th or 5th edition I played a night gobbo fanatic army. With 12 in his army I imagine he is almost all night gobbos, the best way people could pop them out is by marching something like a small unit of flyers, fast calv or skirmishers to pop them early. After I sold my army to a friend I always used a great eagle flown straight into the middle of his lines to lure most to all of them out.

For lizzies I think a sacrificial skink chief on a terridon, a small terridon squad, cham skinks would be good to get them out way at the back but are kinda pricey.

The absolute best thing to do is draw them out into terrain, such as a forest. If you can move chameleons or skinks into that position, that's optimal. If fanatics hit terrain, they immediarely die.

Barring that plan, the next best thing is use a cheap suicide squad, such as a unit of skinks to move within 8" of them and draw them out.

Barring THAT, there is always the risky way of using a very tough model to draw them out, such as the steggy. I used a treeman once to draw them out. i believe he took 1 wound the entire time. but it's risky because he could roll high and then you'd lose a 300 pt model to 75 pt fanatics.

    A few notes about fanatics:

    1) Never charge a unit that contains fanatics. Ever. You will take all three fanatiics in the face, and they hurt.

    2) Never try to move through them (see #1),.

    3) you can shoot them or blast them with magic, but most of the time, I ignore them. They have a very good chance of running BACK into their own unit, causing much harm.
