    Hi,

    does anyone know a good tutorial (YouTube or else) of how to model fire? This isn't about how to paint fire! How do I make fire elements?

    I want to paint a fire elemental and the base is just boring flat plastic. And everything he touches shall burn with flames.

    It might not be what you are looking for, but what about schorched earth? Paint really dark grey and very lightly drybrush with red couple of times for still red hot charcoal efect.

    Might be easier than modeling fire.

    I saw some videos with green Stuff modeled flames. I will go this way. Although I not really convinced to but it

    I don’t know about modelling fire (unless you want to carve it out of green stuff), but I had a lot of success with making lava effects on my Fireborn bases.

    Here is a good start for the base, just don't add the sand and rocks just yet:


    Working with Hot Glue to get the shapes you want:


    Blazing inferno, to get some fire like effects from hot glue:


    And one without the hot glue:


    Mix and match and make something great!
