    Hey, I'm kinda new to the forum also I'm somewhat new to warhammer (I played a bit of 40k but wasen't a fan of that because the only person I could play against was a 10000 point necron army) Where as there were about 7 people playing Fantasy battle, so I picked myself up a box of saurus warriors and a lizardmen book(apparently a 6th edition book so >.>) so I decided before rushing in and purchasing every lizardmen unit anyone could ever I want I thought it was best to look around and see what people recommended, hence me being here :D.

    Greetings, welcome to the forum!

    As well as the tactics forum, it will also be helpful to look through the army list forum to see what other people are taking. A few general rules; jungle swarms are useless, razordons are seen as not as good as salamanders, teradons are great, saurus should always be equipped with spears, Temple Guard are only worth it with a Slann.

    And the most important general rule, pick models that you like best! It will be your army and you will have to assemble and paint the models, it helps if you really like them.

    Hey dude, welcome. I must say checking forums before rabidly buying models (like so many of us do) is a really good idea. Best thing to do is to check the tacticas and also the army list sections, but to be honest the site is full of relatively juicy stuff.

    Thanks, I've actually been reading the tactics forum (Not as much as the battle report forum what can I say I'm a sucker for pictures) good news is the one unit of saurus warriors I do have is equipped with spears though when I get a a army assembled I'm sure to post alot of battle reports (there's only one hobby shop in my tiny little town and if they had a bed I would live there!
