So one of the powers the EoG has is The Arcane Configuration. I am a little confused on how it works. As a skink priest I already get lore of heavens only. So why does it say choose any one lore and its cating values are reduced by one. Also it cannot be dispelled as nothing off the EoG can. So if you know what this power does please share.

It lowers the casting value of a lore for EVERYONE. So if you decide to lower the casting value of, lets say Fire, your Slann can cast Fire spells with 1 less casting value. Keep in mind if your opponent also has lore of Fire he also recieves the bonus from the engine.

yep it effect all spels of that lore on for both armies and all casters, for one turn.
basicly it makes that lore +1 easier to cast....
So like you would need to roll a 4 instead of a 5.

Yes, the Casting cost is reduced FOR EVERYONE by 1.
as for choosing the lore, as previously stated, the Slann can choose another lore, so you could choose the lroe the slann chooses one turn, the heavens next (For your skinks) and go back and forth, or another EoG power.

    so in summary:
Arcane Configuration- Choose a magic Lore. Casting costs are reduced by 1 (12 becomes 11, 5 becomes 4, etc) until beginning of your next magic phase.

i don't want to start another topic for this question even tough its a rules debate:
players can dispells spells in play on their own turn using power dice as dispell dice and needing to beat the casting value of the spell. lets assume the commet is in the air, cast by the enemy. if i declare arcane configuration-lore of heaves with my eotg, do i have to roll 11 for the dispell?
this might be usefull in some odd cases

I don't have the book in front of me, but doesn't it specify in the Engine of the Gods Powers section that it reduces the casting value by one? Seems to me that that would exclude dispelling.

true, but when you dispell it you have to beat the casting value... same wording

I agree with Bibamus. To dispel a RiP spell you need to beat its "casting value", while the engine lowers the "casting value" of a single Lore. So it could be used to make your opponents RiP spells easier to dispell, or it could make your own spells be easier to cast but also easier to dispell if they are RiP.

Yeah, I agree in a RaW way. I'd allow it.
