Hopefully the rumors of sept. Lizardmen Codex is true because im finding it difficult to match up to either daemons or warriors of chaos. Im looking for any tips or list ideas to help me with my losing streak.I dont care how unfair or unsportsman the list is i need a win badly.
As always, what are the details? What works in your army and what doesn't? What enemy units wreck you and what can you handle?
Bloodcrushers are nasty.Also the gorebeast chariots being strength 6 tough 6 and nurgly.The biggest problem i would say is tough 6 stuff.Unless i take ancient stegadons or kroxigors im having problems wounding.Not to mention bloodletters ws 5 str 5 killing blow also hurts a bunch
You should post your typical list in the army lists section so we can help you make it more tailored for Chaos. Bloodcrushers and Bloodletters are indeed rough, but a Skrox unit with 3 Kroxigor should be able to take either one head to head. Just be sure to load up on Skinks. The Skinks are usually killed just as easy as Saurus, so why give him the satisfaction? Salamanders are good for thinning out Bloodletters. Skink Skirmishers and Chameleons are good for thinning out Bloodcrushers. Poison doesn't care about their toughness. Just roll them 6's! (yes, easier said than done) As for high toughness, try taking a Shadow Slann. It couples surprisingly well with Salamander fire and S8 Saurus are nothing to sneeze at.
Against WoC, Lore of Metal is king I have in two separate tournament games: A) first turn searing doom of a unit of 8 chaos knight to remove look out sir then used golden hounds to remove the BsB B) first turn boosted searing doom on 5 skullchrushers and a character, removed the skullchrushers completely leaving a lone character that later got broken on combat res Sadly lore of metal is useless against daemons If the WoC player is using a horde of mauraders or warriors, I like to throw in a scar vet on a cold one , use lore of light (also excellent against daemons) to keep him safe for a turn (light of battle) then cast phas, speed of light and time warp, they are hitting you on sixes, wounding on 4 or 5 and then after modifier you have a 3+ rerollable AS, then I'll hit back with 5 strength 7 (GW) on 3's with poison and a reroll wounding on 2's. If the player makes a tactical error and comes straight for you, I have held up 50+ mauraders for the whole game with a single scar vet while my magic secured the win
On the plus side, the new book hasn't been kind to Khorne, Bloodletters are now S4 and get a +1S from when they charged. Also, Bloodcrushers are now only AS 4+, if I understood correctly.
Daemons and warriors are very different armies now, its hard to create a single list that is optimized against both of them. In short, use skrox, banner of flame to negate regen, lore of metal or shadow, and skirmishers against warriors. Learn to have a healthy respect for hellcannons and chimeras. Against daemons, hard to say because they have so many options. Learn to not respect the cannons and shoot the hell out of them with skirmishers and chamos.
