So I've been wanting to use a Kroxigor hero for sometime, and I finally managed to get my mate to agree to let me try one as long as the rules arn't too insane, so here are the rules I've come up with, and wondered what other thought. Kroxigor Hero - 145 points M WS BS S T W I A LD Armour 6 5 0 5 5 4 3 5 8 3+ Special Rule Mighty Swing - Can trade all attacks for 1 Killing Blow attack. Cannot be the army general Fear and all the other kroxigor stuff Standard equip - G.Weapon Optional Equip - Light Armour - 10 points Magic - Upto 50 points Axe of the old ones - Kroxigor only - 50 points Grants the Mighty Swing special attack the Heroic Killing Blow special rule. So what do you think, overpowered or quite well balanced?
I love it. I hope they add something like this in our 8th Edition book. Atleast Nakai, I know that there are old rules for him around somewhere but they are rough to convert I imagine. But the stats Don't look too crazy. Kroxigor Ancient Stats are as Follows: M-6 WS-3 BS-0 S-4 T-4 W-3 I-1 A-4 LD-7 4+ Scaly Skin I would say the Optional Light armor would probably cost a bit more than that on a Kroxigor Hero, I would say around 20 Points I would think as yours already has a high natural armor of what looks like 3+ Scaly Skin As for Rules, Great Weapons Only, Not allowed to take Magic Shields. I wish there was more Variation with Magic Weapon types... everything is Hand Weapons. Here are the stats for an Ancient Kroxigor to work from for everyone else.

Hello, I was wondering about a Krox hero myself, And I would lower the I to 2, and pumped the Str to 6 (Scar veterants have Str5) lad leave LD 7 (Minotaur hero have LD 7 just like regular Minotarus, and don't forget We have Cold Bloded) Also i think that Ws4 would be siuted more than ws5 (again Scar vets have ws5)
Eh I would think that it would stay with just Skink Chief and Scar-Vet for Battle Standard Bearer. I am loving this thread. Anyone want to compile what we have so far?
I love the idea of a big block of Krox with a Hero carrying a magic banner. That would be a solid block of meat that could go toe-to-toe with just about anything.
Kroxigor are strong and tough - but they aren't the most intelligent of creatures. I don't think there should be a Kroxigor hero because Kroxigors aren't really leaders. However, a special character, Nakai, should exist. Here is my proposed profile: M6, WS4, BS0, S6, T5, W4, I2, A5, Ld8 Special Rules: as per Kroxigor, Scaly Skin (3+), Stubborn, Ward Save (6+). May not join any unit aside from Skinks, Skrox, or Kroxigor. May not be the Army's General. Magic Weapon: Great Weapon which confers Killing Blow ability. Points: 220 What do you think?
I much more prefer this. Though i do feel that stat line combined with stubborn and killing blow is really powerful. Though its much more practical then the original. i would move toward a lower impact special character that is an optional unit champion similiar to the dark elves exicutioner or black gaurd champion/hero. I can see a kroxigor hero like this having a pretty major impact on how the lizardmen are played. I feel like that is a little much for the kroxigors.

I think a Kroxigor BSB could work IF he was Unique (Special Character) and only allowed in armies with a Skink General. Aside from that, a unit upgrade would be the best route, but he should be more than just an extra beaty stick inside of a MI unit.
oooo I love the rules for Nakai. I'd say it's not too hard to update them to fit the new edition. In the past I was able to play Nakai with the exact same rules as a giant for fun. He died horribly....
