The purpose of this thread is to help players find others on the forum who play their army and may be interested in analysis/discussion. This is a good place to put your name down in order to be tagged in future topics/questions that arise for your armies of choice. If appropriate, maybe a moderator could be kind enough to pin this thread so others can find it more easily in the future (@Killer Angel , @Scalenex ).

So for anyone interested, list the armies you play/collect and I will attempt to keep this list updated!

As this is already a Lizardmen forum, I've left them off the list. I'm assuming most of us already have Lizardmen and as such, its inclusion would only serve to clutter up the list.

You DARE make an index without checking it by me first!!!!

I should start a poll to figure out what your punishment should be. The poll itself is the punishment.

I collect Empire and Vampire Counts/Faction of Death in addition to Lizardmen though I am pretty newbieish in both and my Vampire Counts army is mostly for painting, not playing. Whereas I have accepted that I likely will never paint an Empire model.

I only played two very short matches (that were ended in round three each because the game store planned the tourney very poorly) with Lizardmen and Vampire Counts Pact forces in a Storm of Magic game. It seemed to be working but a three round match isn't very predictive of what a six round match would have looked like.

A vampire would garrison my most vulnerable magic fulcrum (because few wizards can fight as well as a vampire) and he would spam his one spell to bolster a unit of zombies to tarpit anything that threatens the fulcrum. Points permitting toss in a corpse cart.

Meanwhile a block of Saurus warriors and a Skink priest would play defense on the other fulcrum while a Slann and Temple Guard would represent my offense.

@NIGHTBRINGER , I stickied this but it's not going into the Index of Indexes until more of the armies get filled and people actually start using this index.

Perhaps you haven't been as active in the index department as you once were. So busy carving out your domain in the stories/fluff sections that you left your previous kingdom unguarded and ripe for Chaos infiltration! :p

Big fan of Bretonnia here of course :pompus:

Always wanted to collect dwarfs but never did. I do have a small force of savage orcs that I have used for Mordheim, but they are on round bases as thats what they came with...
 
I do not have a chaos dwarf army yet but I have been subscribed to lost kingdom miniatures Patreon and will be purchasing a 3D printer soon and have done plenty of research - they will be my next army so this index is welcomed!

I added a Mordheim category. It's still old school Warhammer fantasy right?

But Warden never answered my query in the Wild West discussion forum...
 
I am not sure I qualify as a player/collector of ye old 8th edition, but I have a bunch of Tomb King models and their Armybook.
Also do I have some High Elves and 1 unit of Knights Errant and a single Pegasus Knight all without an Armybook

So, do with this information what you want :p

Hmmm... which army discussions would you want people to tag you in the future? To which army discussions do you feel you could (and would like to) contribute to?

Okay... so I listed you under Tomb Kings with the qualifier of "(sort of)" as originally used by @Scalenex

Yep, because we definitely needed more Tomb Kings representation. Your poll on favorite non-Lizardmen army reveals L-O has a huge fanbase for Tomb Kings. Quiet until their tombs are disturbed...

In a way Tomb Kings are very similar to Lizardmen. Both live outside the Old World somewhere inhospitable. Both are far more ancient than most of the other races. Both would like to be left alone. Both have a reputation for treasure which attracts looters.

Good points!
And both are different from the majority of the world. Leaving aside VC, fot TK the world is composed by living beings. For lizardmen, the world is composed by warmbloods.

And they are both inspired from very peculiar and exotic civilizations, so i guess they are viewed in the same way by our inner tastes.
