I just have to share this with my fellow followers of the old ones. We started a tournament today and i was going against skaven first game with a heavily comped list. My list contained: 25 saurus 20 saurus 6 kroxigor 1 ancient steg. slann scar vet bsb scar vet on cold one skink priest lvl 2 2 razordons 6 chameleons 10 skink skirmishers 17 ranked skinks with full command. The first two rounds was the key, i killed his doomwheel and warp lightning cannon due to misfire and chameleons BUT. He has the dreadehtehtheth 13 spell. First cast(irresistable) he killed 20 saurus out of the 25 block. Second cast(irresistable) he killed 17 out of the 20 block... Then he lost the spell due to miscast. I was almost crying and thought of conceding... there was so many rats left to kill not to mention the 10 rat ogres just eyeing my kroxigors... But something insane happened. In the third round i had the 17 ranked skinks flanking the rat ogres and the krox charging in the front. In the magic phase i managed to get of boosted version of Bironas AND speed of light + pha's protection +Harmonic convergence on the skinks. I won combat and ran into the flank of a screaming bells+40-50 clanrats block with the skinks only :S. Weirdly the skinks stood the first round and with the backup of kroxigors + another 10dice magic phase i managed to kill of the whole unit. My 2man razordon unit rolled 2 10's 2 rounds in a row and killed of 20 clan rats in a single sweep. In the meantime i've had the single scar vet on cold one holding up 50 horded stormvermins with hero and bsb for 3 rounds just long enough for the skinks and kroxigors to come in from behind and saving the day. Sorry for the incomprehensive battle report but im totally speeded here . Funniest game i've ever had. Victory for the old ones!
