I'm a supporter of ETC comp http://warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=111991 but the current draft is quite flawed particularly in the Lizardmen section. http://www.youtube.com/user/FollowFurion?feature=watch This video series has released a video with suggested improvements. A lot of tournaments (and pick up games with friends in my area) are playing with ETC now, but even if you have no aspiration to ever play under these rules these guys can give you a new perspective about list building.
