If it's hidden in a unit, I just use Dwellers or something likeminded, and dwellers ignores wardsaves if I'm not mistaken. ^^
and even with all the ward-saves, all you need to do is win combat resolution and run over him.
Or you can just shower it with poison darts and hope something will stick xD
In my case, I tend to stick to Dwellers or another Toughness test spell, because no elf, no wood, high or dark elf has T4.

Yah, Dwellers or perhaps go Lore of Death and snipe her. Or take Oxyotl and literally snipe her :D

Scar-Vets are great at killing anything. Get Bane Head and a great weapon on your SV and she'll probably be dead after one round of combat. If she is hiding in a unit then put your SV in a unit as well and issue a challenge. If the unit champ accepts, you'll probably overkill him and hopefully break the unit from combat rez.

If she is running solo you should be able to kill her with camo skinks or regular skinks. Razordons are pretty mean against lone characters as well.

Apart from Vampires and Chaos, I thought that a wizard could not normally wear armour, so how on earth does she have an armour save?

The best thing to do is to use Lore of Death, or the Dweller's spell from Life.

If she is the one with the reverse Ward she is a pain in the ass.

Can you take a ward from the Blood Statue? The one that makes target keep taking tough tests until pass or dead? That might do it.

I've played Dark Elves a lot and my pegasus sorceress (without any ward save, armour and often without familiar) hasn't died in a single game. That doesn't mean I've never lost tho, so you might want to think of a way to minimize her effectiveness and put your focus elsewhere. Its pretty much the same as the Slann, geared right its fairly impossible to kill a Slann but its far from impossible to beat LM.

hi guys, just out of intrest. i have never played dark elves before..

would it be a good idea to use our cube of darkness after the sorseress has used her power of darkness?

doesn't she get hits or wounds from the left over dice?

Yep, she takes a S4 hit for each unused dice. Problem is that you have to use the cube to dispel a spell, and that spell will spend some if not all of the PoD dice.

Its an interesting idea but unless the DE player screws up very badly he will use the PoD dice for his first spell, so he needs to a) roll 3-4 dice with PoD and b) use less than 3-4 dice for the first spell. So he needs to roll a 5+ on his dices, he needs to use only 2 dice with his first spell (since no one would ever 1-dice stuff with a sorc) and then you need to wound him on 3+ and go through his 3+ reversed ward. On top of all that you need to roll the 4+ to end the magic phase.

Its very situational but yeah, it's an interesting idea.
