Hey lustria, it's been too long. Haven't been playing much warhammer lately (busy) and when I have time been painting my IW, which I thought would be less than interesting for all the die hard LM players but it's been to long since I made a post do here it is, my fluffy IW 1500 HQ: 1 chaos lord w/ daemon weapon and combi melta -145 Troops: 10 chaos marines w/ 2 flamers, icon of chaos glory and pfist champion, and rhino w/ dozerblade-250 9 chaos marines w/ 2 meltas, icon of chaos glory( hq is with them, does he give them fearless in new edition?), rhino w/ dozer blade- 205 13 chaos marines w/ 2 plasma guns, pfist champ -270 (Aegis defense line w/ icarius lascannon)- 85 Heavy support- Vindicator w/ dozer- 125 Vindicator w/ dozer- 125 3 oblits- 225 (imperial bastion, or I'm this case chaos bastion )- 75 Total 1495 ( I may be mistaken, don't have codex) My thoughts: I do believe I'm sticking to the fluff while still being competitive, a frontal mechanized assault, with whatever isn't saddled up dug in on my end. Also, I have 3 heavys and the chaos lord is my warsmith( I'll post my model for any who care to see) if u wanna see my IW I'll do a paint log, just not sure if anyone wants to see IW here) And I don't know why GW would EVER start to write out IW( they are btw) of the fluff, they're sooo cool IMO! They're the jack of all trades, while also being the best siege specialists in the warhammer world (rivaled only by the imperial fists) they can gun down an assault, shoot it out with ranged units, they're tough, masters of the counter assault and frontal assault. Not to mention they look badass w/ they're hazards. My strat was to push their table edge w/ 2 vindis and 2 rhinos, while the oblits and dug in marines hold down the fort (litterally) and lay down some anti tank covering fire. Sorry for the rant, and any feedback would be great Iron within! Iron without! And as always, for the old ones. Thanks lustria.
