    The Skavenpelt banner states "Skinks only"

    Does this mean I can give it to a skink chief BSB and make my Temple Guard/Saurus Frenzied + hate Skaven?

    From what I've seen, the little italicized type by items in army books has always refered only to whom the item can be given, and any limitations concerning the item's effects are listed below with the rest of the item rules.

    As I read it, the banner may only be given to a skink, but it will affect whichever unit he joins.
