The idea is too move fast and hit hard. Saurus Oldblood - Carno, Scimitar, Glyph Necklace, Enchanted Shield, LA Scar Vet - Cold One, LA, Shield, Pirahna Blade, Bane Head, GW Skink Priest 2nd level - EotG, Plaque, Scroll Skink Priest - Scroll, Diadem Skink Skirmisher x 10 Skink Skirmisher x 11 Skink Skirmisher x 11 Terradon x 3 Krox x 3 Stegadon Sal with extra handler Sal with extra handler Thanks for any advice!
Couple of things, first how many points is it? Without knowing that it is a little hard to do anything. Otherwise, the first thing I wonder about is your Scar Vet. He can't use the great weapon if he has a magic weapon, so drop it. The second thing is, what is he doing in the list? He is one of two Saurus, the other one is on a monsterous mount, but he seems to have no niche in the list.
The list is 2150. The GW is on the scar vet so he can break chariots. I thought he could choose to use it instead of his magic weapon at the beginning of the battle. The Scar Vet is on the cold one, so he can assassinate a character with his bane head and pirahnna blade, help on a charge independently or possibly even join the Krox unit to make them hit harder. It will just depend on my opponents army.
No, the SV has to use the magic weap if he has it, and thats fine just use him as an assassin. That being said, the GW on him can't kill chariots in one hit anyway. You only get +1 str when using a great weapon on a mount.
Ooops, I forgot about that rule on the +1 Strength and I guess I didn't realize you couldn't opt to not use the magic weapon. Well I will edit the list to change that GW to another Skink and have three sets of 11 Here is the edited list: The idea is too move fast and hit hard. Saurus Oldblood - Carno, Scimitar, Glyph Necklace, Enchanted Shield, LA Scar Vet - Cold One, LA, Shield, Pirahna Blade, Bane Head Skink Priest 2nd level - EotG, Plaque, Scroll Skink Priest - Scroll, Diadem Skink Skirmisher x 11 Skink Skirmisher x 11 Skink Skirmisher x 11 Terradon x 3 Krox x 3 Stegadon Sal with extra handler Sal with extra handler Thanks for any advice!
I always frown then i see (IMHO) just 3 krox. If your opponent kill 1 of them, theyr no longer instead to take the stuff on theyre supposed to take on. and 3 wounds on T4 4+ AS...well that's not Too hard. This is why i like to see 4, more attacks (the 4th one will pretty much always be able to attack), more wounds and therefore a more effective unit for a longer period. I'd also swap the scroll and diadem. Your not really going to cast a lot with a lvl 3 and a lvl 1. Jsut save your DD and protect your troops. Is your Old-blood strong enough to take on the units you want to take out with him? I do not know your area, but S5 is on the low side (he's a lord after all!) These are my points of attention , I hope they helped. Consider my points and re-evaluate your list. Then make the decision if you want to keep a unit or ditch it. I can always advise Terradons Hope this helps, The Hunted
I wouldn't mind a 4th Krox, but I am not sure what to drop. I think the Carno provides some good high strength attacks, so it is kind of fun to just make the OB have a ton of attacks. Also, I have a diadem in my list.
I know you have a diadem is your list, sorry if i wasn't clear on that part. What I meant is swap the scroll on the EotG priest with the diadem on the support priest. This way you have the option of converting 2 PD into 2 DD. Instead of just 1 Pd to DD, because the EotG priest is level 2 I also like lots of attacks! But sometimes you need to punch Through stuff, instead of punching On it! You could mess around with the equipment and drop some skinks for the 4th krox? The Hunted
Well if I drop the three skinks I will still need to find 34 pts for the Krox. I misread the Diadem. I thought it could me communal dice. They really nerfed that item. I will swap it onto the steg. I am also thinking of wardrums on the EotG instead of the plaque.
