Contest January-February 2016 Contest

I have three entries and one solemn promise for a fourth. I am expecting a lot of last minute entries people but they don't have to be literally last minute entries. You guys have a bout 48 hours. Get writing!
 
It's all these cracked knuckles slowing me down. Here is a vehement oath for another entry.

Solemn promises are so wishy-washy.
 
I will have a hard time to enter this time can't rely come up whit a story for my theme :(

Good news, we are up to six entries (one of them is definitely not from a Skaven sneaking into our forum), and three people still expressing interest in submitting a last minute entry.

And more good news. I am sick and unable to go to work. So that leaves me able to sit hear sipping hot drinks and editing last minute entries.

Just under 24 hours to go everyone.
 
My entry will be in tonight before the deadline. Just have some last minute edits to do before I throw it into the hat.
 
I just realised I've been working towards midnight GMT +00:00, when @Scalenex is based on the other side of the world pond. Slight oversight....you'll be receiving my entry shortly!

Gods. You're right to be puzzled - I evidently don't know what planet I'm on. PhD what?

In my defence, deadline week + race training = braindead.

Now let's move on. Nothing to see here.
 
NOTE TO SELF: NEVER QUICKLY READ A @Slanputin POST AND ASSUME YOU'LL UNDERSTAND IT.

Read as: I'll actually be able to make deadline. Five hours is more than enough time left to work. XD
 
40 minutes technically but since I'm moving a bit slower myself I'm willing to be a little lenient for post deadline entries. I doubt that will be necessary. I didn't methodically match every name but I'm pretty sure everyone who said some variation of "I'll probably enter this next contest." plus one or two entries I was not expecting. Quite a few new messages in my inbox today!
