Not much of a report but will type what I remeber and some conclusions maybe. The lists: LM Scar vet on Cold One Sword of the hornet Enchanted shield Scar vet on Cold One Sword of might The maiming shield 2x15 Saurus Warriors spears, musucian, banner 12 skink skirmishers 5 Cold One Cavalry Champion, Musician HE LV4 mage with 1 extra dice, high magic LV2 mage with 1 extra spell, lore of metal 2x10 archers 15 spearmen, fc, warbanner chariot RBT WoC Demon prince Champ, mount, sword that ignores armor 5 knights 12 warriors fc, mark of nurgle Skaven 2 enginers, fully kitted with warplightning stuff 2x20 clanrats, 1 with flamethrower, other with rattling gun 3 tunneling team 8 scouts some big ratpack with 2 handlers 20 slaves 4 jezzails Deployment From left to right kinda, dont remeber exactly. Saurus warriors on far right corner, then 10 He archer, skink skirmishers with CoC's with hero behind the skinks. On a hill that was in the middle the secound archers unit and the RBT. On the other side of the hill saurus warriors, He spears, and chariot. left side, Chaos knights, warriors, skaven slaves. Then in the middle the 2 units of clanrats and the rat pack. On the far right side the demon prince and the scouts. The evil side won first turn, and pretty much moved evrything forward. Jezzails took out 1 RBT crew, and the enginers dident do to well I belive, both took a wound. Good Guys club round 1. Magic phase was uneventfull, CoC's got a 5+ ward save, and the WoC knigts got some shooting debuff on them. archers dident kill anything I belive, but the RBT (thanks to the reroll from the shooting buff) Killed 3 knights and the hero that was in the unit leaving 2 knights and a very frustrated WoC player. Evild dudes turn 2. Demon prince charged the HE spearmen and the terror test caused them to run for it, so he redirected to my saurus unit. He charged the remaining 2 Knight in to my saurus block on the left side. The demon prince killed 1 saurus but I got in 1 wound also. The knights actually killed 1 saurus and I killed 1 back. The lone knight decided he have had enough and ran, I withhold my guys (dident wanna get charged by the warriors group). The Demon passed his stuborn break test. One of the engineers killed 5 he spearmen with warplightning, the other one killed the lv4 mage and the tunnelers actually killed the lv2 mage. The jezzails took out the last RBT crew. Good guys crying turn 2. The loss of all magic left us wishing for better times. the shooting acomplished nothing this turn. The chariot charged the Demon, Spear elfs ralid. CoC took out the slaves group, chariot did nothing. Saurus got in another wound on him. The demon failed his breaktest and was caught with the cariot while the saurus held. Tried to position my saurus for a flank charge on the warriors. Bad boys playing with tinmen turn 3. Warriors group tried to charge my saurus, failed. The enginers took out another 6 He spears. A clan rat unit charged the saurus warrios on the right side, acompanied with the ratpack. Won combat with 1 I belive, Saurus stood strong. The tunnelers charged the bowmen on the hill, taking 1 loss and killing 2. Was a draw I belive. Good guys praying turn 3. Shooting again dident do much, killed some clanrats. The saurus on the right charged the warriors, even if I dident win combat I would get the coc charge in the rear next turn. The saurus with the Hornet hero dident kill a single warrior and took one casulty. Losing combat with 4 and breaking, was swiftly run down never to be heard from again. The remaining 4 HE spear elfs charged the clanrats to try and help. Killed one rat, The saurus dident take any casualties and in return killed 11 clanrats. The He persued the clan rats, but dident catch em, the saurus cought the ratpack. Starting to get drunk evil doers turn 4. The warriors reformed to face the CoC's. skirmishing rats shoot at saurus on the right kiling 2. Warp lightning killed2 coc's and the chariot. The jezzails then killed 2 more coc's panicing them so the hero and last surviving coc ran off never to be heard from again. The archers killed of the last 2 tunnelers. LM and He player trying to get comfort from vast amounts of beer turn 4. Archers was finnaly able to shot down enough clan rats to panicking them leaving 4 models. The He spears charged the skirmishers and was killed to the last man in their stand and shoot. Saurus charged the looner enginer making him flee but unable to catch him. We agreed to call it a draw at this point, as we were getting drunk and time was running out. Was my first real game I would say as a LM general. Missused the skinks I belive, should have sent em to deal with the Jezzails and the enginer, instead they spent all their time in the middle shooting at clanrats. Not gonna underestimate shooting again, poor CoC unit with my general killed 40 points of rats and then were blown to kingdoms come. 1 of the saurus units held the whole right side of the table, the ones on the left with a charecter to beef em up dident perform nearly as well. Had some good dice rolls and some realy terrible, feels like the HE player used up all of ouer good luck with the only shoot fiered from the RBT. Was fun atleast and I do belive I will need to get more skinks. and some terradons maybe.
Had another small battle this weekend. This time there were just 3 of us meeting up so we decided on doing a 3way battle where we all competed to claim a scenarie pice in the middle of the board. So we all made a small 500 point list to compete with. LM 1 lv2 Skink priest 10 Skirmishers 12 warriors with spear and banner 5 coc HE 1 lv2 Mage 10 archers 10or sumthing Lothern seagaurds 1 RBT WoC 1 Champ mounted sword of no armor save 20 marouders 5 chaos knights So when we had finnaly got evrything set up a nother friend showed up and asked if he could join in also, so he whoped up a 500 point dwarf list. Dwarfs 1 Thane, 1+armor save, GW always strike first. 10 thunderers 15 warriors FC 1 cannon Now we decided it would be better if we did co-up again with there now being 4 of us. So we rolled for it, unfortunally I ended up with the HE player again ^^ There were beer involved again and I aint known for taking notes. As usual read at own peril. Deployment from left to right. RBT in corner, then some space, 12 saurus, HE seagaurd in a line, and on the other half of the board my coc. We had a hill in the middle of ouer deployment so the 10 archers ended up there with the skinks in front of it. The others from my point of view left to right. Thunderers, knights with exalted champ, dwarf warriors. They also had a hill in their deployment they put the cannon there. There maruders ended up infront of my Coc's. The short and evil won first turn. I cant for the life of me remeber exactly how the turns vent so I just say the stuff I remeber and not necesarily in the right order. The dwarf cannon misfired, and had to hold a turn. Thunderers moved up. We focused ouer magic and RBT fire on the knights and killed just 1 I think the lorthern seagaurd and archers killed like 3 dwarfs total the whole game so I wont be mentoning them any I belive. Thunderers killed a couple of seagaurds, knights charged my saurus the dwarf warriors kept on struggling to get anywhere. Knights killed like 3 or 4 saurus and the saurus drew blood on one also, I lost combat by 1 but held my ground. Magic killed some dwarfs RBT chanced it to kill the cannon but was out of range, knights slaugterd my saurus down to 1 dude, sadly he wasent man (or lizard) enough to keep the fight going and was run down. Knights ended up outside table. My cocs charged the maruders, killed like 11 and ran over the rest of them, ending up close to the cannon. The cannon did a grapeshoot at my coc killing 2. Thunderers killed even more elves. Couldent get much happening this turn, set my coc's up for charging the cannon, my skinks killed 3 dwarf warriors. Cannon was able to snipe the HE mage, thunderers kept killing seagaurds. Knights aligned to charge the RBT. Charged the cannon but had misjudged the distance, (actually quite sure the filthy dwarf cheated somehow, I'm to perfect for such misstakes.... aint I?). So dident reach home with em, instead my skinks fierd on em, getting a wound on the warmachine itself. Shooting and magic got like 1 more chaos night down. Cannon grapeshoted my CoC's again, killing 1. The dwarf warriors were now close enogh to charge the sea gaurd, stand and shoot, nothing, get to strike first, nothing. Lose 3 models to the dwarf onslought, breaking and being pounded to the ground. Knights was so fearful that the RBT crew ran for it and got run down istantly. My 2 remaining coc's finaly got to charge, the cowardly dwarfs shit their own pants seing em coming and high tailed it outa there, far enough to get away. So my skinks shot em to death instead. My skink priest made his earnings back with intrest when he got of a irisisteble force forked lightning, killing one knight and wounding the exalted champ. Last turn nothing really hapend cause all were in bad positions. The game haven took like 3 times the time to finished then we had planned we just said that WoC and dwarfs had a small victory. Secound time in the row the HE bad dice rolling caused me an embaresment ^^ Was all I guess, If you read all of this you probbably desrve a cockie, so go buy one and think of me while eating it
It looks like the HE player had a bad list in the second game. I play high elves and IMO archers and lothern seaguard are really bad-arechers are only 1 point less than saurus and saurus are soo much more useful. Most HE players just use them to fill core slots (HE have terrible core unit choices)
