Facts and Rumors Warriors of Chaos and Daemons of Chaos came out at roughly the same time. Warriors of Chaos and Daemons of Chaos have virtually identical lores of Slaanesh, Nurgle, and Tzeentch. High Elves are rumored to come out next High Magic is due for an update. Lizardmen are rumored to come out shortly there after. There is a Lizardmen Storm of Magic spell that is classified as High Magic Assumption GW is lazy/efficient and is likely to duplicate new creations again. Conclusion Lizardmen and High Elves will both get access to High Magic with differences just barely big enough to warrant selling magic cards for both armies.
Sounds plausible, even likely. I don't think my gaming group would appreciate it as I play both HE and Lizards. As for me, I definitely wouldn't mind. I need to find additional credible Lizardmen rumors.
According to the leak, the High magic spells all seem to have names that describe with the spells do succinctly. No Elfy words in them at all "Vaul's Unmaking" or "Flames of the Phoenix." The generic names suggests that High Magic isn't just for elves any more because GW generally loves fluffy names.
If High Magic works half as well on the table as it seems to on paper, I will quite happy to have it on my Slann.
I'd like a combination of Light, Life, and Heavens. Pull a few elements from each and make a well rounded lore.
The designers of the HE book attempted to incorporate all eight Lores into High magic. In fact there are eight spells (two signature spells). They have a spell that heals a model as a secondary effect, one that affects flyers, one that turns the armor save against the user, and more. Some of the tie ins are cosmetic though. The faux Death spell has a Death-y name but doesn't resemble any actual Death spells, it's a generic magic missile.
