Hi guys, I've recently starting playing Lizardmen as some friends and I are building armies together 600 points at a time. I am trying to come up with a list that I will build towards at 2400. I am told that a lot of the people I will be playing with are pretty competitive. The list I have come up with is as follows. Slaan - focused rumination, focus of mystery, becalming cogitation, bsb (Life) Scar veteran - great weapon, armor of destiny 19 temple guard - full command, banner of eternal flame Stegadon 5 chameleon skinks 5 chameleon skinks 24 saurus - full command 24 saurus - full command 10 skinks 10 skinks Ancient stegadon 1 Salamander 1 Salamander The slaan and scar vet both go in the TG, I am currently wondering if it would better to throw him into one of the saurus blocks instead to add a bit of punch to one. I am wondering how competitive this list would be and how it would hold up in a competitive environment. Are there any units that you don't think are optimal? Is the scar vet build a good one or would a better armor save that is rerollable be better? Please give me your feedback and thoughts on this list. H2H
This looks pretty similar to the list I'm also suggesting at 2k, except that I went more heavily magic. I wonder what the more experienced Lizardmen types will say about our lists... I'm pretty inexperienced, so I'm not sure what to say about your list, except that it looks ok to me. Do you have any specific questions or concerns?
I'm mostly wondering if I went heavy enough on magic or if a slaan without supporting casters will still own the magic phase. Would the scar vet serve me better in a saurus unit instead of the TG? Does the build for my scar vet look solid? Are there any obvious holes in my list? Does it look like a good list to run life in? How would shadow work for this list? I know if I ran shadow I would need cupped hands. These are my main questions about the list. I'm looking for someone who is quite experienced with Lizardmen to critique it. H2H
You could run your slann in a saurus unit but............. Well, it`s like this. Running your slann in a saurus unit is like putting a good expensive wine into a plastic cola bottle. (this is a quote from someone else)
