I'm a noob so I'm only playing 1000-point games right now, but why are most high-level games 2250 as opposed to 2000?

This gives you more points to spend on you units, compared to the points you spend on characters. When you compare 2000 pts with 2250 pts you have the same number of "characterslot" available, but in a game of 2250 pts you then have 250 pts more to spend on your army.

Its why you also sometimes see 1999 point battles. Basically the same size as 2k, but no lord allowed. I particularly like 2999, 1 lord is plenty at 3k.

Okay thanks! I'm pretty new to the game so it's always great to have some help.
